ALL ABOUT WOOF

“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          --John Bunyan

We believe "do your part" is more than just a motivational mantra. We believe "just be kind" is more than an inspirational utterance. And we know for sure that "show up" is not just a sentiment to be stamped on a bracelet (although we do that!). There are people who show up every day to rescue animals from dangerous situations. They get dogs off the street, they support low-cost spay/neuter programs to combat pet overpopulation, and they open their homes to foster dogs and cats. They do the hard, behind-the-scenes work we respect. And we think they deserve help. That's where woof, stitch M's pet project, comes in.

In 2016, we launched woof. We're passionate about dogs. We're adamant about kindness. Why not combine the two ideals, we thought, and create art that gives back? So we did, and woof was created.

Since we started woof, we've given a portion of the proceeds to Helping Paws, PAWS Chicago, Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoptions, Frosted Faces Foundation, and Tiny N Tall Rescue.  Vulnerable dogs and cats rely on these organizations, and we want to help further their work, which is what we're continuing to do in 2022.

Since embarking (get it?) on this woof journey, what have we learned? You. Love. Your. Dogs. We think that's pretty cool. What else have we learned? You have, on average, 3,467 pictures of your dog on your phone, and you hesitate not one second when we ask to see them. #swoon

Below is a gallery near and dear to our hearts. It contains dogs and people we've met, dogs we'll never meet but had the honor of capturing in stitched art, and dogs who received the second chance they so deserved. We think you'll agree, it's something to behold.
